A: The Wave (WRPN) is owned by Civic Media, Inc. We became part of the Civic Media family in April 2025, having previously been locally owned and operated by Hometown Broadcasting and the Boyson family. We’re proud to continue our tradition of local radio excellence while being part of the Civic Media Network! WRPN was once WCWC and has been a 5,000 watt day/night AM since 1957!
