MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – A local Woodman’s location is closed after its roof partially collapsed in Monday night’s storms.
The Madison Fire Department describes “water pouring into the building” at about 8:45 Monday night at the Woodman’s on Milwaukee Street. Woodman’s staff said no one was hurt when the roof partially collapsed.

The store is closed until further notice as staff work with engineers and architects to make it safe again.
Working with city building inspectors and the store’s engineer, firefighters determined “the roof collapse was the result of accumulated storm water.”
Woodman’s has removed fees for online grocery services at the stores on Madison’s west side and in Sun Prairie, hoping to make it easier for customers who usually use the Milwaukee Street location.
