Campbellsport Teen Killed in Traffic Accident

FOND DU LAC, Wis (WRPN) – An 18-year-old Campbellsport man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in a traffic accident Tuesday afternoon in Fond du Lac County.

Sheriff’s officials say it happened at the intersection of County Highway V and Auburn-Ashford Drive in the town of Auburn. Investigators determined the motorcycle was heading south on County Highway V and struck the pickup truck that was traveling east from a stop sign at Auburn-Ashford Drive.

Despite emergency responders’ life-saving efforts at the scene, the Campbellsport teen died. The 32-year-old Campbellsport man driving the pickup was treated by paramedics at the scene and released. He cooperated with the investigation.

Multiple 911 calls reported the crash just before 4 pm. Sheriff’s officials say the speed of the motorcycle appears to be a factor in the crash.
