Town of Auburn Home Destroyed by Fire

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- An early morning fire destroyed a home at W2420 Century Drive in Fond du Lac County’s Town of Auburn today.

According to Sheriff’s officials a 911 call was received just before 4:30 am from the homeowner. The caller said the residence was on fire and flames were coming out of the windows. All occupants had safely evacuated the residence.

Upon arrival deputies reported the residence was fully engulfed. Nine fire departments responded to extinguish the fire. The home was a total loss.

The homeowner was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. One cat was saved, but another wasn’t accounted for. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
