Investigation Underway After Thanksgiving Night Fire Kills Three
Kenosha fire crews say it could take weeks to pinpoint what sparked the deadly Thanksgiving night apartment fire that killed three young siblings. The mother says she dropped off her 10, 9, and 7 year olds at their dad’s for the evening Thursday night.
Calls to 911 came not too long after. The two older boys died at the scene, the girl was flown to the hospital but later died. The father was treated for smoke and released.
At the memorial, attendees honored Rylee, Alena, and Connor by placing their favorite toys, singing songs, and sharing memories.
“I hope that they are at peace and know that they were loved by more than just their family, they were loved by friends, teachers, just anybody who came in contact with them,” Meeks said.
Court records did not specify where investigators think the fire began or what may have caused it, but they did highlight several factors that were initially examined.
