RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Ripon Guardian Ambulance, the Ripon Area Fire District, and Ripon Police recently teamed up for their annual Shop with Emergency Personnel.
Ripon Police Chief Bill Wallner says their School Resource Officer Lindsey Michels coordinates the effort. Almost 30 kids were able to enjoy a night of Christmas shopping for their family, gift wrapping, and a pizza party afterwards. He says it’s a special night for families that otherwise might not have such a great holiday season. Chief Wallner says it wouldn’t be possible without the generous donations of the community.

In Green Lake County the Sheriff’s Office, Berlin Police, Berlin EMS, the State Patrol, Markesan Police, Wautoma Police, Berlin Fire Department, the National Guard, and Waushara County EMS participated in the Shop with a Hometown Hero Event in Berlin.

In Fond du Lac over 75 children participated in the annual Shop with a Cop program coordinated by the Sheriff’s Office.
