RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Watch from late Thursday night through Saturday morning.
Dangerously cold wind chills are expected as low as 40 below zero which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
Precautionary measures include dressing in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Pets should be kept indoors as much as possible.
Other suggestions include checking on the welfare of older family members or acquaintances.
