
WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- Oshkosh Police arrested a 21-year-old Oshkosh man Saturday on five counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety stemming from a shooting that occurred Friday evening.
Through investigative technology police were able to identify a suspect vehicle involved in the incident. It was located in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 400 block of Sullivan Street. Detectives saw it leave and conducted a high-risk traffic stop on State Highway 21 at Oakwood Road.
The suspect and other persons of interest were taken into custody. They were brought back to the police department for interviews. The other two persons of interest were eventually released.
A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s apartment complex, where a handgun, believed to have been associated with the incident, was located inside.
The disturbance originated between two separate vehicles. One vehicle had five juveniles inside it, the other had one adult and two juveniles. The suspect fired a round into the rear of the car containing the five juveniles and struck one in the arm. The victim was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
It appears to be an isolated incident.
