
RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Ripon Mayor Ted Grant won reelection in Tuesday’s Spring Election. He collected 878 votes to challenger John Sullivan’s 778. Meanwhile, the 4th Aldermanic District will get a new representative. Former Berlin Common Council member Luke Dretske, now a Ripon resident, defeated incumbent Doug Iverson getting 265 votes to Iverson’s 185.
In contested races for the Fond du Lac County Board in District 9 incumbent Thomas Dornbrook defeated challenger Deborah Senn collecting 502 votes to Senn’s 384. In District 12 challenger James Sippel edged out incumbent Dennis Stenz getting 675 votes to Stenz 658.
In the State Supreme Court race Fond du Lac County voters preferred Judge Maria Lazar over Judge Chris Taylor by more than 1,800 votes, but Statewide Taylor won the race with 60 percent of the vote.
In school district operational referendums voters in the Fond du Lac, Iola-Scandinavia, Montello, and Markesan School District voted down referendums. On the other hand operational referendums were approved by voters in the Oakfield and Waupaca School Districts.
