
RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Dodge County Sheriff’s Department tells us there have been numerous incidents in recent weeks in which thieves entered unlocked vehicles in Lomira to take valuables.
In addition bicycles have also been stolen and later abandoned. The thefts have mostly occurred during overnight hours.
Sheriff’s officials are urging residents to remove any valuables, especially vehicle keys, cash, and firearms from their vehicles when they are not being used. They also ask residents to lock their car doors and secure bicycles or other items that can easily be taken.
Several residents have provided information that has assisted the investigation. Anyone who has information or video surveillance of someone suspicious is asked to contact the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office at 920-386-3726.
