Beaver Dam Shooting Suspect Taken Into Custody

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- An 18-year-old Beaver Dam man was arrested Thursday afternoon for a shooting that took place in Beaver Dam on May 30^th.

The man barricaded himself in a residence in the 9500 block of Watts Road in the City of Verona. Beaver Dam Police with the help of the Madison Police Violent Crimes Unit and SWAT Team served a search warrant at the residence and took the suspect into custody.

He was transported to the Dodge County Jail on charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

The victim was taken to the Marshfield Medical Center the morning of the shooting and was later flown to the UW Hospital in Madison.
